Obituary
Rachel Ellen Lindsey, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 9, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on July 23, 1928, in Daviess County KY, the daughter of Kinzy Sr. and Virgie Clines Mudd. She was a housewife and was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Carl and Jimmy Lindsey both of Leitchfield, two daughters, Mildred Walls of Big Clifty, KY and Shirley Snyder of Leitchfield, one brother, Ernest Lee Mudd of Caneyville, two sisters, Mary Oller Stevenson of Leitchfield and Judy Miller of White Mills, KY, ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bill Lindsey, one son, Ronald Lindsey, three grandchildren, Wendell Lindsey and Tommy Lindsey and Kevin Hack, three brothers, J. D., Kinzy Mudd Jr., and Willie Mudd and two sisters, Ruby Embry and Frances Mudd.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Friday (September 12, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joe Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
