Rand P. Tripp, age 65, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 4, 2018) at his home in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 23, 1953 in Ontario, Canada, the son of Jack Tripp and his late mother, Rosella Tripp.

He was a truck driver who enjoyed driving his truck nationwide, working on cars, watching television and reading. Rand loved all children and always made you smile. Although born in Canada, he became an American citizen later in his life. He had attended Church of Joy.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Summers Tripp of Leitchfield; father, Jack Tripp of Florida; brothers, Robin (Debbie) and John Tripp both of Florida; sister, Renee Tripp of Florida; half-brother, Jack Tripp, Jr. of Florida; brothers-in-law, Steve Summers (Judy) of St. Paul, KY, Bruce Summers of Elizabethtown, KY, and Byron Summers of Alabama; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Andrew (John) of Nebraska and Kathy Floyd of White Mills, KY; uncle and aunt Bob and Pat Cowan; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his mother he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall and Ruth Summers; and brother-in-law, Jim "Fruit" Summers.

Cremation was chosen at his request.
