Obituary
Randel Lee Meredith, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 4, 2017) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on May 24, 1931, in Anneta, KY, the son of the late Loney and Dossie Downs Meredith.
He was a retired self-employed automobile dealer; he was also a former Leitchfield police officer, a Rough River Park Ranger and Grayson County Ambulance Driver; he enjoyed bluegrass music, playing his fiddle, playing pool, golf, bowling and traveling and was a member of South Union General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois Cook Meredith; one son, Daryl Meredith (Bonnie) of Leitchfield and two grandchildren, Rebecca Nicole Meredith and Ethen Andrew Meredith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilford Meredith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (November 7, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Roy Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
