Obituary
Ray Carwile, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday (Feb 25, 2007) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
He was born on May 24, 1920, in Breckinridge Co., KY, the son of Alonzo Francis and Mary Gertrude Johnson Carwile.
He was an electrical Engineer at several Air Forces Bases in the United States and Alaska and was a charter member of Clearview Baptist church and also a member of the Leitchfield American Legion # 481.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Carwile, two daughters, Janice Schick of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Nancy Tadatada (Eric) of Louisville, KY, three grandchildren, Rachel Elkin (Devin), Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Kristen and Patrick Fitzgerald both of Louisville and one great grandson, Liam Elkin. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Ramsey, Margaret Long and Norma Baxter and three brothers, Charles, John and Beckham Carwile.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be on Saturday March 17, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. CDT at the Clearview Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Clearview Baptist Church Building Fund, 505 West White Oak St., Leitchfield, KY 42754
