Raymond Higgs, age 87 of Hudson, KY passed away Saturday (January 8, 2011) at his home in Hudson, KY.

He was born May 9, 1923 in Caneyville, KY, the son of Abraham and Hulda Jane Hayes Higgs. He was retired form the Railroad, a member of the Hudsonville Masonic Lodge #262. He also was a WWII Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Higgs (Glanelene) and Randy Higgs (Hazel) both of Hudson, three sisters, Deanie Beasley of Louisville, KY, Pearl Farris of Caneyville and Shirley Embry of Leitchfield, KY, two brothers, Shelby Higgs of Ekron, KY and Delbert Higgs of Louisville, and 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 62 years Anna Louise Fentress Higgs.

Masonic service will be held Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday (January 10, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Tucker will be officiating.
