Raymond Earl Plamp, Sr., age 65, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 31, 2016) at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on May 24, 1950 in Louisville, KY, to his father, the late Richard W. (Windy) Plamp and his mother, Mildred Laverne Sauter Plamp.
He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Company, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching television, sitting on his porch, having cook-outs with family and friends, riding his pontoon boat and golf cart with his grandchildren, and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Martina Hudson, and his son, Raymond E. Plamp, Jr., (Heather), all of Leitchfield; his mother, Mildred Laverne Sauter Plamp of Cookeville, TN; two brothers, Morris Plamp of Clinton, TN, and Ricky Plamp of Charlestown, IN; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Grace Morgan of Clarkson, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Plamp, and his wife, Wanda Faye Jones Plamp.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. CST Thursday, (April 7, 2016) at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Washington.
