Raymond L. Smith, age 59, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday (November 6, 2007) at his residence.
He was a maintenance man for Perdue Farm. He was born October 21, 1948 in Caneyville, Ky. the son of Latney & Madine Swift Smith.
He is survived by his wife Anna Spinks Smith of Caneyville, 2 daughters Angela Smith of Louisville, Megan (Zack) Heronemus of Evansville, 3 step daughters Tracy (Mark) Everly, Ronnie Schroader & Stacy Embry all of Hartford., his mother Madine Smith of Caneyville, 1 brother Jerry (Lula) Smith of Caneyville, 5 sisters Margalene (Rev. M.D.) Raymer, Carolyn Nuckles, Mary Ann (Bill) Frank, Marsha (Roger) Duvall, Rhonda (Jimmy) Sipes all of Caneyville, 6 step grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Latney, 3 brothers Hershel, Amos J. & Charles Smith & 1 sister Sandra Smith.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday (November 9, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. M.D. Raymer will be officiating. Burial is in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday 2:00-9:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Friday.
