Rebecca Lois Hay, age 86, of Upton, KY, passed away Monday, (September 21, 2026) at her residence.

She was born on August 29, 1940, in St. Paul, KY, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Pearline Drury.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, all things homemaking, farming, and most of all spending time with her family. Everyone who knew her realized the biggest reason she made quilts was to show her love and affection by donating most of the quilts she made. She was a proud member of the Goldenrod Homemakers Club, a volunteer firefighter for 31 years with West 84 and was a member of the Mount Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. Don Hay (Lisa) of Upton, and Joseph Hay (Kim) of Munfordville; two daughters, Kimberly Huffman (Tim) of Cave City, and Robin Lee (Scottie) of Hodgenville; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two special sister-in-laws, Minnie Miller (Ronald), and Elizabeth Drury. Several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George Henry Hay; two granddaughters, Stephanie Murphy, and Julie Ann Hay; two brothers; Joseph and Charles Drury; two sisters; Anna Pearline Richardson and Catherine Laverne Brown.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. CST Thursday, (October 1, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Austin Wade and Bro. Terry Priddy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST to 8:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. CST Thursday until time of services.
