Regina Haycraft Alvey, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (September 5, 2021) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on July 24, 1938 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Russell and Beulah Hornback Haycraft.

She worked as a dietary aid at the hospital for more than 27 years and loved her job. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter. Regina was a member of the Sulphur Wells "Snap" Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Elbert Alvey of Leitchfield; two daughters, Victoria Lynn Alvey and Sandra Michelle Alvey, also of Leitchfield; and a granddaughter, Chloe Hayes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Alvey; two brothers, Hershell and Haskell Haycraft; and a sister, Mae Doris Alvey.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (September 9, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Kenny Sapp and Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
