Reginal Malone Carter, age 87, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 07, 2024) at Signature Healthcare of Hart County in Horse Cave, KY.

He was born on August 30, 1936 in Beaumont, KY, the son of the late W. B. and Bertha White Carter.

He retired from G.E. after working 36 years as an Appliance Operator and enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working, gardening, singing & listening to gospel music. He was ordained as a deacon at Blue Lick United Baptist Church, later serving as a deacon and the song leader at Pine Knob Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member.

He is survived by his son, Roger W. Carter of Shepherdsville, KY; three daughters, Mary Malone Logsdon (Steve) of Upton, KY, Louise Glass (Ronnie) of Munfordville, KY, Marcia Ann Wilson (Jerry) of Leitchfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild and another on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Smith Carter; a great grandchild, Taylon Malone; four brothers, Malcolm, Robert, Ernest, & Arnold Carter; and six sisters, Patsy Keifner, Pauline Froedge, Mable Froedge, Evon Branham, Ruth Foy and Myrtle Hurt.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (May 11, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jr. Logsdon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
