Obituary
RICHARD GILBERT GREEN, JR., 66, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009.
He was a retired employee of Henry Vogt Co., and Circuit City, and was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Richard was a devoted Husband, Dad and Papaw, and was loved by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elsie Green; his brothers, Joe and Billy Green; and his sisters, Bertha Carpenter, Bobbie Brussell, and Dorothy Callahan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Jeannette Lambert Green; his son, David Miles (Tammy); daughter, Jeannie Green; grandchildren, Lesha Miles Newton (Brian), Bryan Miles, and Kimberlee Green; one great granddaughter, Brooklynn Newton; and his sisters, Helen Cook (Omer), Gladys Funk, and Barbara Hicks.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. (Louisville time) at the Layman Cemetery, Caneyville, KY.
Visitation will be from 1 – 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
