Richard Lee Henderson, age 50, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 21, 2023) at his residence.

He was born on May 16, 1973 in Champaign, IL, the son of Sheila Smallwood Henderson and the late Lloyd Neil Henderson.

He worked as a residential painter and loved his chosen profession.  He was a member of the Archaeological Society and enjoyed hunting for and collecting artifacts. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family very much. He played the guitar, loved working in flowers and in his yard. He married his wife, Shannon Thomas Henderson in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Henderson; daughter, Miranda  Henderson (Corey), and son, Jimmy Potts (Shelby); two grandchildren, Paisley Muns and Zeke Stewart; his mother, Sheila Smallwood Henderson; and two beloved brothers, Nathan (Pam) Hayes and Joseph Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Neil Henderson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate his life will be held on Friday (November 24, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow under the direction of Dermitt Funeral Home.
