Richard E. (Ricky) Jaggers, age 47, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (January 16, 2011) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 16, 1963, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late James W. Jaggers and the former Frances Lorraine Cook. He was formerly a fork lift operator for Mid Park Metals, an avid UK and a NASCAR fan and was a member of the Antioch General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Singleton Jaggers, one son, Michael Brandon Jaggers of Leitchfield, one brother, James Douglas Jaggers of Leitchfield, three step-brothers, Charles Buddy Masden (Teresa) of Louisville, KY, David Masden (Veronica) of Leitchfield and Danny Geary of Charlestown, IN, three sisters, Lori Jaggers (Tim) of Cecilia, KY, Robin Clark (Mike) and Sherry Jaggers both of Elizabethtown, KY, four step-sisters, Wanda Grimes (Ruel) of Hardin Co, KY, Judy Hash, Joann Phelps (Danny) and Shirley Rowley all of Elizabethtown, a sister-in-law, Terri Cooper, six nephews and three nieces, and several step nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lorraine and Ivan Geary and father and step-mother, James and Ivena Jaggers and an aunt, Imogene Fugate.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (January 20, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Reno Likins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Peonia Christian Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
