Richard Eugene Pero, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 19, 2021) at Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 18, 1955 in Jefferson County, KY, the son of the late Ralph Frank Joseph and Cova Yonts Pero.

He was a server and retail worker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and spending time with his cats. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Millwood.

He is survived by his siblings, Frankie Pero (Sheiron) of Louisville, KY, Kathy Montgomery of Taylorsville, KY, Pat Greiser (Mike) of Louisville, Randy Pero (Brenda) of Lexington, KY, Ron Pero of Leitchfield, Roger Pero of Louisville, KY, Sharon Rivas of Caneyville, KY and Michelle Thomas (Frank). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jim Montgomery and Horacio Rivas.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, (October 24, 2021) at the First Apostolic Church in Millwood. Rev. Keith Shepherd will be officiating. Burial will be in the First Apostolic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at which time services will move to the First Apostolic Church in Millwood.
