Richard Douglas "Dougie" Pryor, Jr., age 36, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Monday, (May 5, 2014) in Louisville, KY.
He was born on October 22, 1977 in Louisville, KY, the son of Richard Pryor, Sr. and Connie Clark.
He was a masonry worker who loved the outdoors, animals, and all wildlife. He loved his dogs, Sadie, Scrappy and Blue.
He is survived by his father, Richard Pryor, Sr. of Shepherdsville, and his mother Connie Clark, of Louisville; grandmothers, Barbara Jean Pryor and Doris Elaine Clark, both of Louisville; paternal aunt and uncle, Dianna Pribble of Sadieville, KY, and Darrell Pryor (Dee) of Louisville; maternal aunts and uncles, Lynn Gibson of Seymour IN, Kim French (Doug) of Elk Creek, KY, Jim Clark (Deb) of FL, Gene Clark (Dee) of Louisville, Kevin Clark (Carolyn) of Sellersburg, IN, Chuck Clark (Kim) of Louisville, and Steve Clark (Jan) of Buford, GA; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Lee Pryor, and James Melvin Clark, and a great-uncle Charles Miller.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST Saturday, (May 10, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Pilgrim Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
