Ricky Lane Decker

Ricky Lane Decker, age 64, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 8, 2026) at his residence.

He was born on September 14, 1961 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Woodford and Jeanette Mattingly Decker.

He worked for the Grayson County Road Department for 8 years. His great joy was spending time with his family. He loved putting together model cars, driving around enjoying the sites and beauty of the world, coloring and drawing, looking at old houses, and fishing. He attended Antioch General Baptist Church.

Ricky is survived by his children, Jennifer Decker Read (Jeffrey Read), Brittany Decker Logsdon, Branden Decker, and Bethany Collins; 6 grandchildren, Trinity, Taysia, Tierney, and Treyen Logsdon, and Kinslee and Karter Raney; 2 sisters, Joanne Tomes and Karen Mattingly; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Decker, one sister, Deborah Smith; his niece, Catherine Johnson, and his cousin, Danielle Decker.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
