Obituary

Ricky Webb, age 61, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away on December 25, 2025, surrounded by love.

Ricky was born on October 13, 1964, to Kenneth Curtis Webb and Rosalyn “Rose” Powell Webb. At the age of eight, he gave his life to Christ at Broadway Baptist Church, a faith that remained an important part of his life.

Ricky proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from January 25, 1982 to February 13, 1986; an experience that shaped his strong work ethic, loyalty, and sense of responsibility. He later became a successful business owner, founding and operating Webb’s Automotive Refinishing and Supplies, where he was well known for his skill, dedication, and integrity.

He was a devoted husband to Dixie Yens Webb for 35 years and a loving father to Daniel Joseph Webb (Randi Johnson Webb), Amanda Nicole Mabe (David Mabe), and Nathaniel Curtis Webb, all of Leitchfield, KY. Ricky was also a proud and adoring grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Ayden, Braylee, Mason, Maddox, Xavier, Blakely, Miles, Waylon, Makenna, Cora and Norah, who were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Powell Webb; his brother, Greg Webb of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Curtis Webb.

Ricky was the steady heart and foundation of our family, and to us, he was the absolute best dad. He loved deeply, worked hard, and always showed up for the people he cared about. At one point or another, he proudly coached each of his children in their sports, giving his time, encouragement, and unwavering support from the sidelines and beyond. He taught us the value of integrity, keeping your word, and putting family first. Whether he was providing, fixing, teaching, or simply being present, he gave his whole self without hesitation. He was our protector and our encourager, and somehow always the life of the party — bringing laughter, stories, and joy wherever he went. His strength, lessons, and love will live on in each of us and in the generations that follow.

Above all else, Ricky will be remembered as a great husband, an amazing father, and a loving grandfather. He was a steady presence, a hard worker, and a man who deeply loved his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the business he built, and the family he cherished.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, (December 31, 2025) at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bros. Hank Gibson, Kenny Decker and Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Broadway Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps, in recognition of Ricky’s faithful and honorable service to his country.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and will move to the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
