Dr. Robert S Boggs, age 81 , of, Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (March 13, 2022) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on April 14, 1940 in Floyd County, KY, the son of the late Will Boggs and Madge Cox Boggs.

He was a minister of the gospel and a Gideon speaker. He enjoyed golfing and traveling. He was a member of the Christian faith. He was an educator and the Superintendent for Grayson County School System from 1979-1992.

He is survived by his wife, Jo White Boggs; sons, Brian Boggs (Marsha) of Louisville, KY, Christopher Boggs of Lexington, KY, Michael Scott Boggs of Lexington, KY; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Everett, and Carter; and a sister Sharon Boggs of Hindman, KY.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Lowe Boggs and a cousin, Blaine Cox.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (March 17, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Dunaway will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
