Robert E. Carey, 70 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (July 16, 2012) at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky
He was born on September 24, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of the late Eugene W. and Effie W. Lolling Carey.
He was retired from Hyster Corporation and was a member of the Lutheran Church .
He is survived by his wife Liz of Leitchfield, sons, Rob and his wife Kelly Carey of Blytheville, Arkansas, Duane and his wife Debbie Carey of New Market, Indiana, Tim and his wife Jaime Carey of Waynesboro, Georgia, six grandchildren, Brittney and her husband Kyle Archer, Ben, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Dawson and Wyatt Carey, two great grandchildren, Kylie Carey and Jordan Archer and a sister, Barb and her husband Ed Lechleiter of Lincoln Illinois.
A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at 2:00 pm. Saturday, (July 21, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Cremation was chosen.
Friends may visit with the family at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bob Carey Memorial Fund, C/O Cecilian Bank, 1625 Elizabethtown Road, Leitchfield, KY.
