Robert "Tom" Drake, age 62, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (April 24, 2017) at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Unit in Louisville, KY.

He was born on January 03, 1955 in Jefferson County, KY, the son of the late Edgar Thomas and Barbara Warner Drake.

He was a self-employed mechanic who enjoyed hot rods and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Vernessa Drake of Leitchfield; a son, Chris Drake, of Leitchfield; two daughters, Michelle Robinson (Bobby) of Millwood, KY and Salina Lindsey (Josh) of Duff; seven grandchildren, Skylar Drake, Zackery Robinson, Cassie Garland (Will), Taylor Lindsey, Jessica Robinson, Chloe Lindsey and Elizabeth Lindsey; one great-grandson, Eli Garland; one brother, Tony Drake of Caneyville, KY; two sisters, Bonnie Bowman of Caneyville and Nancy Kennedy (Wayne) of Alabama. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Terry Drake.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (April 29, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. John Duty will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
