Robert G. Saltsman, age 67, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Sunday, (May 31, 2009) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
He was born on December 7, 1941, in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late, Nathan and Essie Rea Stewart Saltsman. He was a retired construction worker for Sullivan and Cozart, a member of the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge and the Anneta United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Crain "Toot" Saltsman, his son, Gerard (Sheli) of Louisville, his daughter, Robba Saltsman of Clarkson, KY, three brothers, Vanco of Bee Springs, KY, Roscoe and Lonzo Saltsman both of Smiths Grove, KY, two sisters, Golda Sandlin of Smiths Grove and Erma Ruth Sanders of Leitchfield, two grandchildren, Rebecca Stillwell (Meguel) of Clarkson and Nathaniel Foreman (Kelley) of Leitchfield and four great grandchildren, Haley Bob, Eli, Mackenzie and Julie Ann. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Julie Johnson and Tiva Roller.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. (June 4, 2009) at the Anneta United Baptist Church in Leitchfield, under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Thomas Meredith and Bobby Joe Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery. There will be a masonice service at the church at 7:00 p.m Wednesday night.
Friends may call at the Anneta United Baptist church after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
