Robert Shaw "Bobby", age 59, of Caneyville, passed away Monday, (September 12, 2022) at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, KY.

He was born on November 1, 1962 in Jefferson County, KY, the son of the late James Robert Shaw and his mother, Martha Jane Ingram Shaw, who survives.

He worked as a deputy jailer at Grayson County Detention Center for 21 years. He loved working at his job. He was always smiling, cutting up and making people happy. He loved watching old movies and playing video games.  He was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Shae Neighbors (Travis) and son, James "Jay" Shaw; mother, Martha Jane Ingram Shaw; grandchildren, Ember and Kason Neighbors; three brothers, Kevin Shaw (Michelle), Todd Shaw, and Terry Shaw (Lisa); niece, Savannah Shaw and nephew, Evand Donald; and Tori McClanahan, who was like a loving sister.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Shaw.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 21, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. David Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in the Deweese Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
