Robert Thomas McClure, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (November 22, 2021) at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY.

He was born on October 15, 1952 in Louisville, KY, and again in 1982.

Robert was the son of the late Robert A. and Katherine Coyle McClure and loved reading, discussing and studying the bible. He was a member and a Deacon at Liberation Church, where he also served as a Sunday School teacher, and sat on the Board of Directors. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, and was a gifted self-taught artist who enjoyed painting as a past time.

He loved his wife, Ann McClure; his children, Vegas "Shane" Higdon (Ashley), Jeromy McClure (Jessica), Beth Dinwiddie (Bill), Jacob McClure (Courtney) and Rebecca Mathis; his 14 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild on the way. Robert spent his life doing all that he could for his family. His life's goal was to please God, be a good husband, a good father, and a good Papaw. He was a wonderful man of God who accomplished all of that.

Also surviving are two brothers, George and Joe McClure; three sisters, Betty Simmons, Barbara Ewing, & Pat Hedgespeth; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (November 26, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jacob McClure will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
