Rockford Lance Johnson, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (June 6, 2025) at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

He was born on August 29, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of the late Rockford Johnson and Gertrude Angell Hamilton.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Scotty's who enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley motorcycle, and tending to his flower garden. He especially loved his dog, Dora.

He is survived by his wife of 20+ years, Barbara Phelps Johnson; his son, Robert Lance Hamilton Jr. of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren, Kyle Michael, Kallie Marie, Talia Catherine, Nora Michelle, and Olivia Grace Hamilton; sisters, Charlotte Johnson Phelps of Sunfish, KY and Betty Mayer of Cedar Rapids, IA; brothers, Tommy Johnson of Wax, Timothy Johnson of Sunfish, Gerald Johnson (Susan) of Beespring, and John Lewis Hamilton of Cedar Rapids, IA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin infant children, Barbara Danielle and Michael Wayne, a daughter, Marie Margarete Hamilton, and a brother, Richard Dean Hamilton.
