Roger Dale Hill, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (January 01, 2024) at his residence.

He was born on August 01, 1954, in Vardaman, Mississippi, the son of the late L.L. Hill and Lula Mae Ward Hill.

He worked for RCG, loading cars and trucks on the rail road and was a member of Teamsters Local 89. He was also a member of Breckinridge Co. Masonic Lodge #67, Grayson County Moose Lodge at Falls of Rough, and American Legion Post #81.  He enjoyed fishing, riding on his houseboat, and working on vehicle motors.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved listening to the older country music artists, especially Hank Sr., Hank Jr., Patsy Cline and Ernest Tubb. He married his wife, Brenda Nimmo Hill on September 19, 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hill; daughters, Pamela Cottrell (Billy) and Cheryl Burr (Gary); son, Ward Litchfield (Colleen); grandchildren, Blake Litchfield (Charity), Quinn Litchfield, Kurtis Hall, Travis Hall (Kristin), Dalton Cottrell (Danielle) and Jasmine Cottrell (Evan); great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jaxson Cottrell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Edward Hill and sister, Shirley Dring.

Visitation will be on Saturday (January 6, 2024) from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Friends and family are welcome to come celebrate his life.
