Roger Newman, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (March 10, 2017) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on May 06, 1933 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Walter and Elva Stellar Newman.

He was a veteran of the US Army who retired from G.E. and enjoyed a career as a real estate agent and home builder. He attended the Clearview Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Craig Newman (Robin) of Elk Creek, KY, Brian Newman (Elaine) and Todd Newman, both of Louisville; a step-son, Mike Hunt of Brooks, KY; five step-daughters, Kathy Daughtry of Sanford, Florida, Jan Camic (Keith) of Louisville, Ann Block of Linden, TX, Sandy Frechette (David) of Melburn, FL and Dana Clark (James) of Clarkson, KY. 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Newman, and his brother, Walter Newman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CDT Tuesday, (March 14, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT on Monday and from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
