Ronald G. Armes, age 82 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (January 27, 2020) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

He was born on October 7, 1937 in Millwood, KY, the son of the late Charles Louis and Mattie Ozella Coles Armes.

He was a painter who enjoyed crappie fishing and playing rook and was a member of the Beech Grove United Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Fleener (Harrell) of Leitchfield, KY; three grandchildren, Tyra Fleener Mattingly, Trenton Fleener, and Charlie Fleener; 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice Gay Minton (Bert) of Louisville, KY, Vivian Jo Follis of Branson, MO, Wilma Nell Armes of California, and Doris Jean Collins of LaGrange, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Mudd Armes and one daughter, Rhonda Armes Gary.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, (February 2, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Trenton Fleener will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
