Ronald Ray Barlow, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (September 07, 2026) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield.

He was born on May 03, 1942 in Jeffersonville, IN, the son of the late Walter and Lilly Mae Foster Barlow.

A 35-year Veteran of the US Army, Ronald instructed soldiers on how to operate the various Army Tanks in their arsenal. He enjoyed boating, collecting motorcycles (among other things) and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Melinda White (Darrell) of Irmo, SC; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as his extended family, Oma, Justin, Jasmine & Austin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Barlow; a son, Steven Barlow; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, (September 15, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow and his ashes will be entombed with his wife at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
