Ronnie D. Minton, age 67, of Louisville, KY, passed away Friday, (August 30, 2019) at his home.

He was born on November 12, 1951 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late, Raymond Minton and Sylvia Powell Duvall.

He was a retired steel worker for O'Neal Steel in Louisville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, being in the outdoors, spending time at Churchill Downs, watching old movies and westerns, he was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan, and loved most of all taking care of people, was a father figure to many neighborhood kids.

He is survived by his son, Ronnie "Doober" Minton Jr. (Amber) of Louisville; four brothers, Wendell Minton (Jan) of Russellville, Donald Minton of Leitchfield, Sammy Duvall of Falls of Rough, and Danny Duvall (Pam) of Leitchfield; two sisters, Cindy Decker (Dewayne) and Tammy Pierce (Tony) of Clarkson; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanly Minton, and Johnny Duvall.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (September 14, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gary Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rabbit Flatt Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
