Rose Mary Carter, age 83, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Tuesday, (April 2, 2019) at the Medical Center in Caverna, KY.

She was born on December 13, 1935, in Edmonton, KY, the daughter of the late Paul and Ollie Reed Smith.

She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed sewing, Gardening and attending church and was a member of the Pine Knob Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Reginal Carter, one son, Roger W Carter of Louisville KY, three daughters, Mary Malone Logsdon (Steve) of Upton, KY, Louise Glass (Ronnie) of Munfordville, KY and Marcia Ann Wilson (Jerry) of Leitchfield, twelve grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Taylon Malone, two brothers, James A and Wayne Randall Smith and three sisters, Marie Bennett, Edna Holbrook and Agnes Young.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (April 6, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Lennie Hogan will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
