Rosetta Marie Grant Bates, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (January 23, 2013) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on June 29, 1922 in Hart County, KY, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Carla Conner Foster.

She was a retired school teacher, who enjoyed fishing and bluegrass music. She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Frances Melone of LaGrange, KY, two sons, Richard and James Dale Grant both of Clarkson, KY, four grandchildren and one great grandchild and a half-brother, Clay Foster of Memphis, TN.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Alvey Grant and Clyde Bates.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, (January 26, 2013) at St Anthony Catholic Church in Clarkson. Rev. Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery. The Prayer service will be Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
