Roy E. Bratcher, age 69, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday (September 16, 2007) at his home.
He was born on November 4, 1937, in Butler County, KY, the son of Wavie & Sibbie Swift Bratcher.
He was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Dortha Cummings Bratcher of Caneyville, his mother, Sibbie Swift Embry of Leitchfield, 1 son, Brennis Bratcher of Caneyville, 3 grandsons, Nathaniel, Dylan & Colby Bratcher all of Caneyville & 1 great grandson, Garrett Bratcher, 5 brothers, Thurstal Bratcher of Shepherdsville, Dewey & Glendon Bratcher both of Caneyville, and Eugene & Dallas Embry both of Louisville, 1 sister, Eva Sue Tarrance of Caneyville and 1 same as son, Jeff Nash. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Dennis Bratcher.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 P.M. September 18, 2007 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Wavie Pierce officiating with interment in the Yeaman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday.
