Roy DeMarco Cundiff, age 68, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Saturday, (December 28, 2019) at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on May 14, 1951 in Hardin County, KY, the son of the late Wavy and Hazel Whitman Cundiff.

He was a laborer in the construction industry, and graduated from Fairdale High School. He enjoyed raising chickens and gardening. He loved country and bluegrass music. He also played guitar. He had attended Hanging Rock Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, DeAnna Stivers of Virginia Beach, Catherine Cundiff of Grayson County, Roy DeMarco Cundiff, Jr. of Hardin County, Jeremiah Cundiff of Big Clifty, Amanda Cundiff of Big Clifty, Crystal Cundiff of Big Clifty and Jason Cundiff of Grayson County; 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Cundiff; and sisters, Betty McKinney and Frances Embry. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Daugherty Cundiff, 6 brothers, 1 sister, and a grandson, Jorge DeLaGarza.

Cremation was chosen and will be under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home.

A Memorial service will be held on January 8, 2020 from 1:00-4:00p.m. at the Big Clifty Community Center (280 Cemetery Road, Big Clifty, KY).
