Roy Lee, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (May 25, 2018) at his home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was born on December 27, 1948 in Verne, Kentucky, the son of the late Fred E. and Martha Mitchell Lee.

Roy was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked as a wedding and sports photographer, a bailiff for the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, and as a truck driver. He enjoyed golfing, and was a member of Charity Missionary Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carole Stevens Lee; two sons, Shawn M. Lee of Arjay, KY & Ryan J. James (Erica) of Olathe, KS; nine grandchildren; three brothers, George Lee and Tom Lee (Sandy) both from Barbourville, KY; Troy Lee of Lima, OH; a sister, Dianna Trapp (Bill) of Pataskala, OH. Several nieces and nephews and three special friends, Melissa Wright, Bonnie Burns, and Trish Illingworth also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jonathon M. James and a brother, Danny Lee.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, (May 31, 2018) at Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Adam Huddleston will be officiating. Burial will be in Wilson United Baptist Church Cemetery.
