Royce Clinton Powell, age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (July 15, 2018) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on March 30, 1940 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Ewell Powell and Edith Stanton Powell Clemons.

He was a farmer who enjoyed fishing, digging for arrowheads and spending time at the lake.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Powell; six children, Pam Hodges (Stevie), Greg Powell, Michelle Noblett, Melissa Decker (Ronnie), Tracy Wright (Doug), and Heather Peters (Michael) all of Leitchfield; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Clemons (Coy) of Louisville and Alma Dale Bertram (Kenneth) of Clarkson; sister in law, Joy Powell of Louisville and many nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Adam Decker and three brothers, Carlos, Hershell and Delmer Powell.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (July 19, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mickie Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Stanton Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
