Ruby Mae Fussell Burnett, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away in her home on Monday, (March 12, 2018).

She was born on November 4, 1926 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of the late Raiford Curtis Fussell and Ernie Mae (Taylor) Fussell Musselwhite.

She was a homemaker, and had also worked at CP Electronics. She retired as a clerk from The Louisville Store. She enjoyed traveling, needlepoint and gardening. She loved attending her church. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and Leitchfield Eastern Star #26.

She is survived by her seven children, Marilyn Jessie of Elizabethtown, Ellen Davis of Leitchfield, Charles (Brenda) Burnett of Clarkson, Jean (John) Gonterman of Nicholasville, Paul (Edie) Burnett, and Joan Sapp (Jr.) of Leitchfield, and David W. (Teresa) Burnett of Caneyville; fourteen grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend and care-giver, M. Carolyn White.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Walter "Bob" Burnett, two infant children, three brothers, one grandson, Ricky Davis, and one great-granddaughter, MaKaylie Sapp.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (March 17, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
