Ruby J. Humphrey, age 93, of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 04, 2022) at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on December 24, 1928 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late John W. and Bessie Baise Payton.

She was a drycleaner who enjoyed reading the newspaper, gardening, cooking and taking care of children.

She is survived by her sons, Gene Robert Humphrey and Freddie Humphrey, both of Louisville; a daughter, Patricia Jackson of Clarksville, IN; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Humphrey of Glasgow, KY; two grandchildren, Fred Humphrey "Jr." (Crystal) and Amy Wight (Mark); five greatgrandchildren, William, Stuart, Robert, Kayla & Aiden; and a sister, Junie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Humphrey; and nine brothers and sisters, Thomas, Myrtle, Donnie, Christine, Harry, Othae, Annie, Betty and Sarah.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST Monday, (January 10, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff Wells will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
