Ruby McCrady, 89, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday, (January 30, 2011) at the Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Leitchfield.

She was born on, April 1, 1921, in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of Riley and Nealie (Elder) Mudd. She was a housewife, and a member of the Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, James (Sandy) of Caneyville, and Kenneth (Dodie) McCrady of Louisville, three daughters, Ruby Faye (Hardy) Brown of Caneyville, Ella May (Kenny) Embry of Leitchfield, Esther McCrady of Caneyville, one brother, J.R. (Doris) Mudd of Millwood, one sister, Laura V. Mudd of Spring Lick, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and seventeen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, one daughter, Rose Jeanette Mudd, four brothers, six sisters, and two infant children.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. (February 2, 2011) at the Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church in Caneyville. Bro. Tommy Jackson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Union (Wilson) Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
