Ruby Catherine Music, age 100, who recently resided at Taylor Made Assisted Living in Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Monday, (November 25, 2013) at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY.
She was born on January 22, 1913 in Black Rock, KY, the daughter of the late James and Iva Mae Templeman Lowe.
She was an assembly line worker for the Louisville Chair Company, and was an avid bingo player. She resided in Leitchfield while married to her husband, Charles H. Music, who passed away in 1977.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Audrey Lowe and his wife Kathy of Elizabethtown; a niece, Melissa Lowe of Lexington; a nephew, David Lowe of Lexington; a step-son, Karl Music of Sellersburg, IN; a step-grandson, John Music of Jeffersonville, IN; a half-niece, Marva Dean Baker of West Point, KY; and several cousins.
Other than her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Lowe; two half-sisters, Visa Green, and Tennessee Lowe; and a half-brother, Alfred Lowe.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. (CST) Wednesday, (November 27, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. (CST) noon to service time at 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday.
