Rudell F. Higdon, age 80, of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 21, 2018) at Communicare Indian Creek in Corydon, IN.

She was born on January 07, 1938 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Jessie and Ida Lush Clemons.

She was a seamstress who enjoyed gardening, reading, and needlepoint and was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Tony Higdon of Louisville, KY; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Revels (Michael) and Katie Higdon; two brothers, Paul Clemons (Donna) of Indianapolis, IN and Sammy Clemons of Caneyville, KY; four sisters, Vienna Greenwell, Angeline (George) Wright, Rosetta Powers, Joanna Crisp (Jim) of Louisville, KY; Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and sister-in-law Rosie Clemons also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Russell Higdon, her son, Joseph Ray Higdon, two sisters, Irene Spalding and Leona Drake and four brothers, Albert, Leo, Richard and Curtis Clemons.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CST Saturday, (August 25, 2018) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarkson. Father Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY at 11:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday, (August 28, 2018).

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. CST (Noon) to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and will move to the St. Anthony Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
