Ruthie Mae Roof Coble Johnson, age 78, ofLeitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (April 11, 2026) at her home.

She was born on July 21, 1947 in Short Creek, KY, the daughter of the late John R. and Ruby Mae Kennison Roof.

She was a seamstress and a CNA who enjoyed fishing, gardening and shopping, and was a member of the Claggett United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Michael Anthony Coble of Corydon, IN, Pamela Poat (Steve) of Clarkson, Teresa Mae Coble-Saltsman (Kenneth) of Sadler, KY; eight grandchildren, Ashley Hayes (Steven), Timothy Johnson, Jessica Fowler (Brett), Jennifer Johnson, Brandon Coble (Breyley), Brooke Coble (Dalton), Cameron and Kate; six great-grandchildren, Briella, Ainslynn, Audrii, Julianna, Braylon, and Henry with little Deacon Lee on the way. Four sisters, Sally Johnson of Muhlenberg County, Lois Suman (Robert) of Clarkson, Doris Decker of Leitchfield & Zonia Roof of Sadler and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Johnson; a great-grandchild, Brasi Johnson; and 12 brothers and sisters.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor in July.
