Ruth Ellen South Fagan, age 65, of Leitchfield, KY, formerly of Piper City, Illinois, passed away Monday, (April 2, 2007) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Facility in Leitchfield.

She was born on September 28, 1941, in Waterford, Michigan, the daughter of Henry Elzie and Martha Woosley South.

She is survived by her daughter, Jewellene (Dan) Turner of Campus, Illinois, her son Jerry (Becky) Fagan of Chatsworth, Illinois, her son Mike Fagan of Greenfield, Iowa, her sisters, Lilly South and Claudia (Joe) Bowman of Leitchfield, and her sister Martha (Tom) Nutgrass of Mt. Washington, KY. Also surviving her are her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Fagan and two brothers, Homer and Robert South.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (April 5, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
