Ryan Andrew Gilbey, age 35, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 19, 2023) in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 29, 1987 in Pinellas Park, Florida, the son of John and Patricia Kinney Gilbey.

He was a farmer who loved all animals. He enjoyed any outdoor work and activities. He also loved to fish. He was a great father and loved spending time with his children. He was also a great friend to others, a wonderful son and an awesome brother. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Iraq. He was a member of the Grayson County Cattleman's Association. He attended Radiant Church of Grayson County.

He is survived by his children, Ethan, Emma and Maren Gilbey; parents, John and Patricia Kinney Gilbey; sister, Micha Clark and brother, Steven Gilbey; great-grandfather, Burton Kinney; great-grandmother, Peggy Gilbey; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Delores Kinney; and great-grandfather, Sidney Gilbey.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, (January 26, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Pastor Barrett Howard will be officiating with military honors by members of the American Legion Post #81. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY on Thursday (February 9, 2023) at 1:30 p.m. EST, 12:30 p.m. CST. with military honors by members of the U.S. Army.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. on Thursday until time of service.
