Samuel "Steve" Fey, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday (November 23rd 2023).

He was born on March 31, 1953 in Jefferson County, KY the son of the late Samuel G and Helen (Higdon) Fey of Louisville.

Steve was employed with Porter Paint Company/PPG Industries for 30 years, retiring in 2005. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed riding his Harley, he loved being on the lake, fishing, hunting and family vacations at the beach. He was a member of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife Margaret (Alvey) Fey, one daughter Stevi Nicole (Tyler); three grandchildren Hallie Kate, Dawson Colt, Samuel Jace; his faithful dog Sam; and two sisters, Judy Wachtel (Dave) and Lisa Kleber (Greg) of Louisville. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and some very dear old friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (November 27, 2023) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until 10:45 am, at which time we will move to St. Joseph Catholic Church for services.
