Obituary
Samuel Shepherd, age 61, of Salem, IN, passed away Friday, (May 21, 2010) in Salem.
He was born on July 28, 1948, in Butler Co, KY, the son of Walter Edwin and Mary Madgeline (Douglas) Shepherd.
He is survived by one son, Sammy Newton Springfield, KY, one daughter, Sandra Shepherd of Fredericksburg, three brothers, Stevie of Pekin, IN, Jerry of Louisville, Joey Shepherd, of Caneyville, five sisters, Patricia Turner, Louisville, Peggy Bratcher, Caneyville, Betty Copeland, Hartford, Marsha Tate, of Louisville, Lisa Meredith of Louisville, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (May 25, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the Bates and Embry Cemetery. Bro. Stevie Embry will be officiating.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Tuesday.
In Lieu of Flowers Donations can be made to Dermitt Funeral Home for Funeral Expenses.
