Sandra Elaine Johnston, age 73, of Leitchfield, KY, went to her eternal home on Monday, (September 20, 2021).

Sandy was born on April 26, 1948 in Grayson County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Jack and Marie White Grant and the wife of Jed Johnston.

Sandy loved God and her family above all. Her grandchildren were her world. She led a life devoted to others. With a caring heart and a desire to meet the needs of others, she always welcomed kids into her home and treated them as if they were her own. Sandy had a talent and passion for interior design that led her to assist in planning and decorating weddings for young couples in the community. She loved cooking, gardening, tending to her flowers and yard work. We are honored that God allowed her to be ours in her time here. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jed Johnston; two children, Scott Johnston (Shannon) and Heather Bullock (Todd); four grandchildren, Alayna and Alisa Johnston, Sofie and Noah Bullock; four brothers, Danny Grant, Jeff Grant, Todd Grant and Pat Grant; and three sisters, Freda Manion, Marsha Grant and Kathy Price.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Duvall and Faye Kessinger.

Because of the Covid Pandemic, the family will be having private funeral services with Rev. Tony Bickett officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

There will also be private visitations and Prayer Services.

Sandy's immediate family asks that any other family members attending the services to wear a mask.
