Obituary
Sarah Jane Whobrey, age 75, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (February 4, 2010) at Britthaven South in Louisville, KY.
She was born on July 29, 1934, in Jefferson Co., KY, the daughter of Don and Myrtle Wood Crawford. She was a housewife, a member of the Falls of Rough VFW, the Leitchfield American Legion and the Millwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Mudd (Clarence) of Louisville, and Deborah Reese (James) of Crestwood, KY, four grandchildren, Denise Kinsey (Dwayne), Darren Mudd (Donna) and Renee Mudd (Kenny) of Louisville and Glenn Reece of Crestwood, KY, three great grandchildren, Mary Jessica, Tyler Joseph and Wyatt Mudd and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose, two brothers and four sisters and a special friend, Lonnie Newton.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (February 7, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of service.
