Scottie W. Newton, age 61, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 25, 2020) as a result of a truck accident.

He was born on December 16, 1958, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Carl and Bernice Sanders Newton.

He was an owner/operator of Circle N Trucking. He enjoyed working on old cars, camping, fishing, riding horses, four-wheelers and motorcycles. He loved going to the creek and spending time with his grandchildren. He graduated from Grayson County High School and attended Elizabethtown Community College. He was a member of Wilhelm Masonic Lodge #720.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Risner Newton of Leitchfield; children, Crystal Rainey (Travis) and Savannah Forleo (Kyle); his sister, Karen Downs (Brian); six grandchildren, Braxton, Alex and Ashlyn Rainey, Colin Elmore, Camden and Blakely Forleo; nieces and nephews, Devon Hall, Rachael Downs, Ryan and Casey Johnston, Wes Cannon and Morgan Miller.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Cannon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (August 29, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
