Shannon Kent White, age 54, of Fordsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (December 06, 2023) at his home.

He was born on May 16, 1969 in Columbus, GA, the son of the Judy Newton White Young and the late Ronald G. White.

He was a carpenter and construction worker and a member Moose Lodge in Falls of Rough. An avid horseman, he spent most of his free time on the back of a horse. He attended the Yeaman Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Tara Saunders, one step-daughter, Kylie Lovley (Tyler); his mother, Judy White Young; one sister, Stacy Elmore (Pat); two step-brothers, Tony Young (Karen) and Randall Young (Angela); and one step sister, Sheila Steinbrenner. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie G. White.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen, and Condolences for the Family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (December 16, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Leon Joiner and and Bro. Paul Kirkpatrick  will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mahurin Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
