Shawn Eugene Cooper, age 42 , of Newburgh, Indiana passed away Tuesday, (June 14, 2022) at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on September 2, 1979 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Freida Howell White and the late Harold Eugene Cooper.

He was a resident of Newburgh Healthcare, where he enjoyed socializing with other residents and getting involved in all the activities. He especially liked spending time with his good friend, Phillip. He was a big fan of University of Kentucky sports.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Freida and Gary White of Evansville and his two brothers, Daniel Cooper (Kirstie O'Neal) and Greg Cooper (Donna Wade).

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eugene Cooper and his grandparents, Dempsey and Jean Cooper and Truman and Merle Howell.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (June 21, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.  Burial will be in the Neafus Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
